Metamorphosis….

I vowed to be a loving consort,
Thru’ thick and thin,
An emotional comfort,
So I wash and clean
And cook,
Forgetting to stop and look…
That desire in your eyes,
Which like a flickering flame,
Dies……
Wasted and frazzled
As I retire to bed…
Night sneaks to claim
Where you lay,
From me,
Taking you far, far away!
Then, a reflection so strange,
Implores me to change…
So I primp and preen
A fragrant room,
And Satins so clean
Ah, and I see the fires
Burn up again so bright…
Love and longing
Filling the night…
My Metamorphosis………….

(How do I change habit?)

Love is…

What was it with—
The first shy
words,
The first shy embrace,
The first clumsy touch,
The first stolen
kiss,
The first shared dreams.
Down the years
Memories are
there………..
We still kiss
but the inhibition is gone,
We still hug
but the shyness is gone,
We still dream
but the impracticability is
gone……
What was it then
curiosity,lust or love?
I know
not….
But it is Now–
FAITH,COMFORT and LOVE!!!
